Who we are

Keeping Russian a first language

KIT is a Russian language and enrichment school for bilingual children in Singapore. Our students grow up in English-speaking Singapore, and we make sure Russian doesn’t fade into the background — that reading stays interesting, speaking stays easy, and making mistakes is never scary.

For families who’ve recently relocated, we also help children settle in — with the language, school, and new friends. Small groups and genuine attention to every child are what parents thank us for most.

  • Small groups Every child is seen and heard — none of the stress of big classes.
  • Family atmosphere A warm environment children are happy to come back to.
  • Individual attention We match the pace and format to each child’s level and age.

What parents say

★★★★★
…we needed additional support of a speech therapist. Not only the result, but also the attitude and attention by all the staff and specifically Iana were outstanding. We felt so welcome from the first day… it was hard to take my kid back home, as he wanted to stay for more.

Huge thanks to the wonderful teachers at KIT for their professionalism, individual approach, personal support and family atmosphere. I recommend it for children who feel stressed in large international schools and need more attentive care.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

My child barely speaks Russian — is this suitable?

Yes. Our students have every level of Russian — from fluent to just a few words. We match the group and pace to your child, and in class it's completely fine to speak and make mistakes.

From what age do you accept children?

We work with children from 10 months to secondary-school age. For little ones there's the NeuroStart programme (ages 2–6) and early-development groups; for school-age children there's the weekend school, weekday classes and international-exam preparation.

What programmes do you offer?

Weekend Russian language school, NeuroStart comprehensive early development, chess, one-on-one speech therapy, dozens of weekday classes (music, art, science, coding and more), IB and IGCSE Russian exam preparation, and holiday camps.

Do you prepare students for international exams in Russian?

Yes. For 10+ years we've prepared students for IB (Russian A: Literature, Language and Literature, Russian B — SL/HL, and MYP) and IGCSE (First, Second and Foreign Language). Lessons are individual and blended — in person and online.

What language are classes taught in?

Mostly Russian — our goal is to help children keep their mother tongue while growing up in an English-speaking environment. The NeuroStart programme is also available in English and in a bilingual format.

Do you offer speech therapy?

Yes. Our speech-language therapist, experienced with bilingual children, runs one-on-one sessions: speech development, sound production, articulation and breathing exercises, speech-therapy massage, and fine/gross motor and sensory development.
